Commercial Pilot License

We offer a regular 14-15 months course for an integrated professional Commercial Pilot License (CPL) that comes with both Ground Classes and Flying Training. Our extensive commercial pilot training program is DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) authorised and meets all the necessary syllabus standards required to obtain a CPL with Multi-Engine Rating (ME) and Instrument Rating (IR). The course includes theory classes, aircraft testing, skill tests, and general flying as per DGCA requirement. Upon successful completion of the course and achieving your commercial flight license, you can be a Commercial Pilot with lucrative career opportunities within General Aviation or Commercial Airlines.

Syllabus Outline

Ground School

With coaching from experienced ground instructors, get prepped in the theory classes to gain an in-depth knowledge of DGCA subjects and functions of an aircraft. There are a range of subjects covered in the CPL course which are determined by the DGCA, with the primary objective of comprehension of aviation-concepts. The Commercial Pilot License course’s curriculum covers the following:

Flying Training

You can share preference to have your flying training at any of our campus in Baramati (Maharashtra), Seoni (Madhya Pradesh), Kalaburagi (Karnataka), Belagavi (Karnataka), Lilabari (Assam), and Sri Lanka on our latest fleet of Cessna 172, Cessna 152, Tecnam P-Mentor, Tecnam P2006T (multi-engine), Tecnam P2008 JC, and Tecnam P2010 TDI. The focus during this part will be on developing skills for instrument flying, standard operating procedures, IFR cross countries, and upset recovery training. Practice will also include training in the latest fixed base A 320 flight simulator and Alsim (ALX 89) simulation training.

First, the single engine training (185 hours) will be conducted after which the multi engine training (15 hours) will be given on both the simulator and aircraft. During which, you will learn multi-crew operations as well as asymmetric handling and complex aeroplane training.

Course Eligibility

  • Age: 17+ years old
  • Education: 10+2 Graduate or an Equivalent Qualification from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with Physics, Mathematics, and English
  • Medical Fitness Requirement: Valid Indian DGCA Class I or DGCA Class II Medical certificate
  • English Language Proficiency: Both verbal and written

CPL Course Application & Selection Procedures

  • Stage 1 (Online Assessment): Register and appear for an online Entrance Exam by filling up a form. The test will be 50 MCQs on 10+2 basic knowledge.
  • Stage 2 (Internal Examination for Flying Training): Assessment based on Class Performance, Written, and Viva will be taken related to the two-week class covering PFGT, SPL, and FRTOL (Garmin G3X and flying introductory classes).
  • Stage 3 (Document Submission): Class I or Class II Medical (CA35 accepted if done less than 3 months ago), Birth Certificate, Passport (if any), 10+2 Marksheet and Verification, Aadhar Card, and Passport-size Photograph (with name and DOB written in the front).

  • Step 3: Prepare for Ground Classes
  • Step 4: Complete your Flying requirement
  • Step 5: Submit your documents to DGCA
  • Step 6: CPL is issued after a minimum of 45 days

You can become a commercial pilot right after completing your high school. To do so, you have to meet course eligibility, clear Class II Medical fitness, and do your Ground and Flight Training at a good school.

For those starting out as First Officers can earn up to Rs.3.5 Lakhs per month. Whereas, Captains earn above Rs.6.5 Lakhs per month. Although this is a lucrative career, the salary package may vary for different airlines.
